Workshop at California Indian Conference

CAPDAA Board of Directors member Julie Dick Tex and legal advisor Jay Petersen attended the 2024 California Indian Conference in October in Fresno. Tex lead a workshop for public domain allottees detailing the process of determining interest holders of Indian land, and Petersen discussed individual trust interest (ITI) forms needed to make inquiries to the Bureau of Indian Affairs as well as the importance of wills.

We provided similar support at our inaugural (and first of its kind nationwide!) conference, Caring for Our Lands Under Changing Conditions: California Public Domain Allottees Conference 2024, and look forward to doing the same at our 2025 conference.
