EcoCultural Surveys
Led by a team of researchers at the University of California - Davis, the “Planning Landscape Resilience for California Indian Allotment Lands” project focuses on improving access to ecosystem and climate information for allottees. Through the project, researchers are conducting on-the-ground ecological surveys of allotments, comparing historical data on the natural resource conditions of allotments, and making important landscape data accessibility to allottees. With this information, CAPDAA and allottees are empowered to plan for climate change, wildfire risk, and ecocultural land stewardship on allotment lands.
